Bermuda Requests Dr. Mathis for Domestic Violence Training!
Dr. Mathis recently went to Bermuda to facilitate a Certification for Domestic Violence Counselors and Certification for Sex Offender Counselors, Level 1.
The Physical Abuse Centre's Program Director, Rosana Vickers, saw Dr. Kathie Mathis on the website - www.drkathiemathis.com - and requested the trainings for staff and other collaborators to bring up the level of professionalism at their agency.
Dr. Mathis stated that she has was thrilled to participate in this first time ever training in Bermuda for both DV Certification and Sex Addiction Certification. "This group of dedicated professionals who were the warmest, most welcoming individuals, representing
their country with pride. It was awesome to be invited to help them reach their professional certification goals and to see how dedicated they are to ending abuse in the Bermuda. It was fascinating to see that even though we are from different countries, our passion to stop domestic violence is the same. We unite to end violence against women and children," states Dr. Kathie. "We have more in common than we have differences and for them to invite me back again next year for another training is very exciting for me."
The Bermuda graduating class is as follows: Rosana Vickers, Program Director;
R. Joanne Odoli; Naomi Fox; Desiree A. O'Connor; Mary Basden; E. Laurie Shiell; Yvonne I. Ramsay; Karla J. Sweet; and Darius Richardson. |
